Cristina Novoa-Barraza Alva
A native Laredoan with deep roots in the community, Cristina was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2010 after graduating cum laude. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Webb and Zapata District Attorney’s Office, where she handled serious and high-profile felony cases and became the first Assistant District Attorney selected to lead the office’s Public Integrity Unit.
Her years in the courtroom taught her how to organize complex facts, communicate clearly under pressure, and advocate for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Those experiences continue to shape the calm, disciplined, and client-focused approach she brings to personal injury litigation today.
Since joining the firm in 2017 and continuing through the formation of Gonzalez Druker Law Firm and Hit Back Law, Cristina has focused on helping clients and families navigate difficult periods following serious accidents and unexpected injuries.
Cristina understands that personal injury cases are about more than claims and settlements, they are about people. Her clients often come to her while facing medical treatment, financial stress, missed work, and uncertainty about what comes next.
Clients appreciate Cristina’s calm approach, responsiveness, and ability to make difficult situations feel manageable. She works closely with injured individuals and families to build strong cases and pursue the full compensation available under Texas law.
Cristina works closely with clients in both English and Spanish and believes communication and accessibility are essential during difficult moments. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and remains actively connected to the Laredo, Texas community she proudly serves.
